About Waggy Walks 4 Dogs
Many of us think of our pets as part of the family, and finding the right person to help you take care of your pets is a difficult task. We take the matter of pet care and welfare very seriously, and want to do everything that we can to help you find a Pet Carer that is right for you and your pets. Waggy Walks 4 Dogs take great pride in providing your pet with the best care possible, and therefore providing you with peace of mind. By entrusting your pet to Waggy Walks 4 Dogs you are ensuring that your pets are well looked after, and that their welfare is our highest priority.
My name is Vicky Williams, and I am your contact at Waggy Walks 4 Dogs.
Having worked in the animal health industry for the last three years, I am First Aid and CPR trained, and have a Higher Canine Behaviour and Psychology Diploma (OFQUAL Level 3) as well as a Diploma in Dog Training, Canine Nutrition and also in Feline Behaviour and Psychology. I have also certificates in Puppy Training and Canine Holistic Therapy.
Working in the animal health industry has been helpful, but my true passion for animals comes from my home and family. Having dogs, cats and hamsters in the family as a child, I was also a keen horse-rider for many years.
In 2012 Ron and Stan arrived, and every day with them is a gift. They are loving, funny and enhance every aspect of life.
Stan is a blue Whippet, nearly 8 years old. If you are not familiar with sighthounds, you may think that they need a lot of exercise because they are fast runners. This is not the case. Half an hour off-lead, and Stan spends the majority of the day asleep on the sofa, only waking for cuddles and dinner.
Ron is an English Toy Terrier, also nearly 8 years old. You may not have seen a dog like Ron before, English Toy Terriers are on the Kennel Club Vulnerable Native Breed Register, with less than 100 puppies registered per year. A typical Terrier, the walk with Stan is not quite enough. Ron likes to play with a range of toys at home, shake and tug are his favourite games.
Our latest addition to the family is a 16 year old English Toy Terrier called Gracie. Gracie had been staying with us while her owner was in hospital, but after a few months we agreed that she would stay with us permanently. She is quite active for her age, and still likes to go for a walk (preferably by herself) and spends the rest of the day snoozing in her bed, preferably in the sunshine.
We would all like to welcome you to Waggy Walks 4 Dogs, and hope to hear from you soon!
"Archie has a fantastic time when he goes on his visits to Vicky's house. We receive regular updates on what he's been getting up to which gives us great comfort and he has great fun socialising with the other dogs. Vicky has great experience with a variety of breeds and I trust her looking after a very important and much loved member of our family. Thanks Vicky." Vickie, Fleet
"Vicky is brilliant with our dog Ozzie, a greyhound x whippet. We built up to leaving him for an overnight stay over a couple of visits which I thought was a great way of seeing how he'd settle in with her dogs and her home. We had regular updates whilst we were away of how he was getting on so we had total piece of mind. We will definitely be using Vicky again." Leah, Odiham
